FIRST® LEGO® League is the most accessible, guided, global robotics competition, helping students and teachers to build a better future together. The program is built around theme-based Challenges to engage children ages 9 to 16 in research, problem solving, coding, and engineering. Students in fourth and fifth grade Robotics Club participated in our regional qualifier in Martinsville on November 16, 2002. Students were judged on four areas innovation, robot design, and a robot competition to accomplish missions with a pre programmed robot. Students practiced after school on Monday and Wednesday for three months to prepare for the qualifier. We had a wonderful season and learned many new skills.
